She currently serves on advisory boards for CommonBond Communities Wisconsin, Fund My Future Milwaukee, Mediate Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Department of Transportation Freight Advisory Committee.

In September's webinar we talked about the role of the board, and how it can serve as a partner, not a problem. A significant role that the board and the board directors play is representing the community in the nonprofit, and representing the nonprofit in the community. Recruiting and engaging directors who can take the organization in their trust, offering leadership, oversight, and support is key. On top of that you also have to balance compliance with what your community expects, your contractual partners require, and your stakeholders encourage.
